A group of community members have banded together to revamp a “disheveled” park bench at Dudley Park Primary School after receiving a local government grant.
Emma James said she walked past the bench situated on the school grounds every morning with her son and thought it needed a face lift.
“It has a design but looks like it was done 20 years ago,” she said.
The group is facilitated by Ms James, who runs local business Clay and Ochre Mosaics.

They meet regularly to plan and work on the bench and hope to unveil the project in the April school holidays.
The group received funding from the City of Mandurah as part of the Stretch Festival that will be held on May 5 and 6, and will be holding their own mosaic exhibition in the Senior Citizens Hall for the event.
