The Pinjarra Connect Festival was held recently and showcased the beautiful Murray region, said community member Alan Edgar.
Mr Edgar, who attended the festival, said the show started with a dusk backdrop on the Murray River, and music echoing the ‘ancient natural amphitheatre’.
“I cannot stress enough the attractiveness of this venue,” he said. “There is a natural amphitheatre under the Pinjarra suspension bridge, all backed by the Murray River and native bush.”
The 1956 Chevrolet truck that was used as a stage, was provided by the Edenvale Historic Homestead complex Roger May Museum.
“The truck was a great focus and talking point,” he said. “Thanks go out to the museum for agreeing it should take part in this magic occasion.”
He said the traditional owners of the land were acknowledged followed by a top class performance by local artist and guitarist Ricky Green.
“He enthralled a large audience with his own thought provoking compositions and many old and classic favourites,” Mr Edgar said.
He said more Pinjarra Connect events are planned including John Butler’s free-event this Friday night, that sold out quickly.
