Detectives have arrested a 31-year-old man, after a woman was violently attacked with a weapon in her Mandurah home and a car was stolen.
About 8.30pm on March 26, a woman sustained non-life threatening injuries by a man know to her.
The man then fled the home to the Mandurah Train Station, where he approached a 31-year-old woman who had just got into her car about 8.40pm.

After a failed attempt to get into the car, the man used a hammer to smash the window.
The woman then fled the car and the man drove off.
She sustained minor injuries from glass fragments from her car window.
The vehicle was later found abandoned on Hampton Road, Pinjarra.
Detectives are looking to charge the man with assault, armed robbery, and stealing a car.
Detectives are also investigating a separate incident in Pinjarra, in which a silver 1997 Ford Falcon ute was stolen from a home. The car is yet to be located.
No person was present at the time.
The 31-year-old man in custody is assisting police with their investigation.
