Would your family and your doctors know what care and treatments you wanted if you were seriously ill and unable to speak for yourself?
A new workshop will be held in locations across the Peel region to help the community do that for free and prepare their end of life care plan.
Palliative Care WA will hold the classes in Falcon, Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Boddington, Pinjarra and Waroona.
Pallitative Care WA council member David Smeeton said only five percent of the population had completed a plan setting out their dying wishes.

He said the workshops will cover how to have the conversation with family and carers about death and dying, the health and lifestyle choices one can make at the end of life and personal wishes.
Ms Smeeton said end of life plans, called Advance Care Plans, were not just for the elderly.
“They are important for everyone since serious illness may strike at any time,” he said.
“They will also explain how to fill out an Advance Care Plan, engage an enduring power of attorney to protect your affairs, and an enduring power of guardianship to legally speak for you on your medical wishes.”
There will be an Advance Care Plan workshop at the Falcon eLibrary on May 2 and 9 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Serpentine-Jarrahdale Resource Centre and Mundijong will hold workshops on March 15 from 9.30am to 1.30 pm.
Other workshops inclide Boddington Shire Recreation Room on March 22 from 9.30am to 1.30pm, the Pinjarra Lesser Hall on March 27 from 9.30am to 1.30pm and at the Waroona Community Resource Centre on April 12 from 10am to 2pm.
