Waroona’s Janey Napoli is in the running to win a trip for two to London after taking out the Peel region heat of the WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field competition at Pinjarra Park’s Magic Millions WA Ladies Day on Saturday.
Ms Napoli stole the show with her light blue dress and hat combination, topping the field after four heats and a final and winning her way through to the overall final to be held at Ascot Racecourse in Perth later this year.
She will compete against the winners of all other regional finals at the main event, where the best-dressed fashionista will take home a trip for two to London with Motive Travel to attend arguably the most famous racing carnival in the world, Royal Ascot.
Attended by the Queen herself, not only does Royal Ascot attract some of the world’s finest racehorses such as the likes of Black Caviar, but it is also well known for being a spectacle of fashion and style.
To add to the prize pool the winner will also receive $10,000 spending money thanks to TABtouch.
Ms Napoli was followed closely by Munidjong’s Nadia Bishop and Wembley’s Bethany Brajkovich, who finished as runners-up in the Pinjarra heat.
Melissa Birch (Halls Head), Bernadette May (Mount Tarcoola), Fiona Plain (Como), Morag Macdonald (Vic Park), Summer Penton (Stoneville), Stacey Reynolds (Shark Bay) and Kate Reynolds (City Beach) rounded out the rest of the top 10.
The second regional heat was held at Albany Racecourse on Sunday, with the South West region to host the third at the Bunbury Turf Club for Bunbury Cup day on Thursday, March 21.
