Want to get song-writing lessons from a group of top WA talents?
A youth workshop will be held this Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, for local musicians to prepare for the Fairbridge Festival song-writing competition.
The folk and world music festival Fairbridge will give the competition winners the opportunity to play at this year’s event in April.
The Act-Belong-Commit workshop this Saturday will be facilitated by award-winning song-writers David Hyams, Lucy Peach, Roly Skender, Helen Townsend and Alexander Turner.

Participants will learn how to hone their songs through a process of discussion, performance, lyric writing and recording.
It is not compulsary to enter the song-writing competition after attending the music workshop.
