Young Pinjarra female footy gun Maddison Mudge celebrated her 50th game when the Tigers took on the Safety Bay Stinger Cats last Friday night.
The game saw Maddison become the first Tigers player to reach 50 games in the Peel District’s junior female footy comp, a feat made more impressive by the fact that she did it consecutively without missing a single match.
The up and coming star is currently in her third year in the girls league, and played eight matches with the Pinjarra Junior Football Club’s year six boys before the club had joined the female league.
She is the co-captain of her year 7-9 team, which currently sits in second on the ladder following a run of eight straight wins to start the season.
Maddison’s father Jason said it was a proud moment to see her run out for her 50th.
“She loves her footy and the club so to see her play 50 games was really special,” he said.
“To see the junior girls footy comp taking off so much is just the most exciting part of it.”
The competition saw its numbers triple in 2017, going from six teams to 18.
