A Safety Bay dad is warning other parents to beware after a stranger attempted to lure his daughter into a car in Meadow Springs while he was only a couple of metres away.
Around 4.50pm on Thursday last week, his eight-year-old was waiting in the car while he bought her an ice-cream at the petrol station when an unknown man pulled up next to her.
The stranger then started waving at the girl and blowing her kisses before asking her to get in his blue falcon wagon.
When the dad ran outside of the petrol station the stranger drove off in his car.
The father shared his experience in a Perth attempted child abduction alerts Facebook page, where he described the man as a “Caucasian overweight scruffy grub”.
“These people are scum and I am on disgusted he would try this,” he wrote in the post.
“I was not even 2mt away and saw it all.”
Mandurah police said they are investigating the incident, and believed the man had also been reported for watching young girls playing at a local park.
