Mandurah Forum: Kathmandu, Miss Mauds, set to open next week

It’s still more than a week until the Mandurah Forum unveils the next stage on July 27, however, Mandurah Mail journalist Marta Pascual Juanola got a sneak peek of what the new section of the centre is going to look like.

Mandurah’s retail hub, the Mandurah Forum shopping centre, will hit a milestone next week with the unveiling of the centre’s stage two on Thursday morning.

The new stage of the $350 million redevelopment will bring new brands to the centre such as Kathmandu, Target, City Beach, Australian Geographic, QBD The Bookshop, Games World, JB Hi-Fi, and Valley Girl among others.

It will also see 11 new health, beauty and wellbeing stores opening their doors and fashion brands Ally Fashion, Dotti, Betts, and Uniquely Lorna Jane returning to the centre.

Customers looking for a bit of bling will also be able to check out new five jewellery stores, including Michael Hill, Angus & Coote, Mazzucchelli’s, Zamels and Angel Body Jewellery.

The new area will also feature a new urban market section with fresh produce stores, a butcher, a seafood shop and a brand new Miss Mauds cafe.

Customers visiting the centre by foot will also be able to access the new section through the new pedestrian entry on Mandurah Road.

“In the heart of the Peel region, Mandurah Forum will be a true one stop destination and we are excited to offer our new and loyal customers a huge variety of choice and convenience, all close to home,” Forum manager Jacqueline McKenzie said.

“As part of our major expansion, we’re getting ready to welcome exciting new brands, along with welcoming lots of our customers’ favourite stores back to Mandurah Forum.”

The centre will celebrate the opening of the second stage of the redevelopment with four days packed with family activities, free tastings, live entertainment and cooking demonstrations starting on July 27.

The next major redevelopment launch will be the opening of new rooftop carpark late 2017, with David Jones, a new alfresco area, an indoor playground and a food court opening in 2018.
