Voting has opened for the public to choose who comes off the bench in the State Basketball League’s all-star games, with four Magic players nominated to play as reserves for the South.
In the Women’s SBL all-star match, Magic star Casey Mihovilovich is up for selection as a reserve.
The 400-game veteran, affectionately coined “Milo” around the club, is no stranger to the all-star games having played in her sixth last season.
She has been a pillar of consistency for the Magic over the years, a feat which is epitomised in her 2017 averages.
So far on the season, Mihovilovich is averaging 15.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game and has been a huge factor in the Magic’s blistering 8-1 start to the season.
If voted in, she would join teammates Nici Gilday and Carly Boag, who have already been chosen as starters for the game.
Mandurah’s Randy Miegel was also selected as the South’s all-star coach.
In the Men’s game, Magic captain Taylor Mullenax and imports Will McNeill and Rick Kreklow are up for voting.
The trio have been superb for Mandurah despite the side’s one-win start to 2017.
Mullenax leads the Magic’s scoring averaging 22.6 points to go with 5.2 rebounds per game.
McNeill has been contributing 15 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists while Kreklow pitches in with 14.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
