Firefighters called to Mandurah boat fire

Mandurah firefighters attended a boat fire in the marina just after 4pm on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire, which was caused by an electrical short in the vessel’s pump, was extinguished when crews arrived at the scene, just off Breakwater Parade.

A firefighter said the owner of the vessel had used dry powder to put out the blaze, and they investigated the area to ensure it was extinguished before leaving the scene.
