After the withdrawal of the last orange school bus servicing the Murray Country Estate in Pinjarra, Transperth announced the introduction of a new school bus line to connect the estate with the local schools.
The new Transperth school special 722 bus will allow Murray Country Estate residents to travel to Pinjarra Primary School, Pinjarra High School and St Joseph’s Primary School from February 1.
The new route will depart Naturaliste Drive in Ravenswood, run through Hamlet Pass, Sunset Circle and Bell Way to Country Road, before taking Sutton Street to Pinjarra Road.
The bus will then stop at Pinjarra Senior High School on Camp Road and Pinjarra Primary School on Carey Street.
The morning service will depart Naturaliste Drive before Sutton Street at 8.05am, and will arrive at Pinjarra Senior High School at 8.18am, and Pinjarra Primary School at 8.25am.
The afternoon service will depart from stand 7 on Camp Road outside Pinjarra Senior High School at 2.38pm on Monday and 3.18pm Tuesday to Friday.
It will stop at Pinjarra Primary School at 2.42pm on Monday and 3.22 Tuesday to Friday before terminating at Naturalist Drive before Sutton Street.
Transperth asked passengers to check the route ahead and plan their journey prior to the start of school to become familiar with the stops, as the new route doesn’t match the old orange school bus route.
Maps and timetables for both the morning and afternoon routes can be found online on the Transperth website.
