Visitors to the region are now more likely to discover and enjoy Peel wines with the launch and distribution of an inaugural Peel Wine Menu.
The menu is an initiative of the Peel Wine Association (PWA) who worked closely with the Mandurah and Peel Tourism Organisation (MAPTO) to ensure the menu carries the region’s ‘Anytime Adventures’ tourism branding to connect it to the overarching campaign.
Bindi Bindi couple Jennifer and Malcolm King visited Mandurah for a friend’s wedding and were the first to explore the new wine menu over lunch at The Heritage.
“We didn’t realise the extent of Peel wines until we read the menu today and tried Drakesbrook’s Chardonnay for the first time,” Mr King said.
“It’s a beautiful wine, and we would definitely order and buy more Peel wines now we’ve discovered them,”
PWA president Bernie Worthington said the wine menu was designed to showcase the range and variety of excellent wines grown locally.
“Research tells us visitors to any region actively seek out locally produced food and wine,” he said.
“The Heritage is one of many regional restaurants stocking Peel wines, and the new wine menu is designed to support their waitstaff to promote local wines.
“By choosing to stock product from Peel wineries, our restaurants offer visitors and locals a broader experience while adding value to their own food offering.”
“With the wine menu carrying the region’s ‘Anytime Adventures’ theming, this significant new piece of collateral with our tourism brand reinforces the ‘paddock to plate’ experience to our visitors and identifies the Peel Wine Menu belongs in the suite of collateral we use to promote our region,” MAPTO chief Karen Priest said.
Up to 50 copies of the new wine menu will be provided at no cost to participating eateries and restaurants.
