Residents’ community group Lakelands Link Up invites children of all ages to join their free kite-making workshop, Bites and Kites, at Yindana Reserve on Thursday, October 13 from 5.30-6.30pm.
Lakelands Link Up organised the evening as a way to bring Lakelands residents together to get to know each other.
“It’s just another one of the fun events we arrange from time to time to bring the community together,” Link Up member Megan Turner said.
“It’s just an easy Thursday evening in the park, where mums and dads can knock off and come down to join the fun without having to worry about cooking.”
Families can bring their own picnics or buy dinner from food trucks operating between 5-7pm.
“Come along and make a kite and let it fly or listen to the free music and chat to your neighbours,” Ms Turner said.
