A Byford man died after he fell from the second floor of the dilapidated old South Fremantle Power Station.
It is believed the 24-year-old man was with a woman when he fell 15 metres through a hole in the floor just before 6pm on Saturday night.
Emergency Services workers provided the man with medical assistance, but he died a short time later at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
The heritage-listed old power station in North Coogee, which has been closed since 1985, is set to be part of a massive commercial and residential development on the Cockburn coast.
