YEAR in and year out the Brest Friends are dedicated to raising money for the Cancer Council of WA.
As one of the teams in the Peel-Mandurah Relay for Life, the team will participate in the relay on November 3-4.
But they will take a big leap of faith on September 15 when they skydive for a cure.
Team captain Matt Marshall said there were 23 people registered for the jump, aged from 15 to 40, and more than $11,000 in donations raised.
The team is calling on more people to join the jump or donate, with a goal to raise $20,000 and have 40 jumpers participate.
Mr Marshall said they wanted to participate in the jump to do something different and raise as much money as possible.
“We’re going to be conquering fears and that’s what cancer is all about,” he said.
“We are all touched by and have family and loved ones fighting this disease.
“Our team is honouring those who are and have fought the battle with cancer.”
Those interested in joining the team can call Mr Marshall on 0457 597 868.
