DUE to popular demand we have added dozens of new photos that capture Mandurah as it used to be.
The Mandurah Mail is celebrating the rich and vibrant history of the area through a partnership with Lost Mandurah and Mandurah Historical Society.
The page was started by local real estate sales representative Rebecca Mara at the end of June and has now reached more than 5000 ‘likes’.
Ms Mara was inspired by the Lost Perth page and wanted to create the same for the Peel region.
“It’s so much bigger than I expected it would get,” she said.
“In my job I deal with lots of people who talk about how Mandurah used to be, it’s great this page has got people talking.”
Ms Mara said her favourite part was seeing people reuniting with old school friends and family members through comments and photos on the page.
The Lost Mandurah page has been flooded by old photos, such as of the Old Bridge being constructed.
