Six lucky students at Pinjarra Primary School had a chance to taste test Pinjarra Bakery and Patisserie’s delicious hot cross buns ahead of the Easter rush.
And what’s better than a delicious hot cross bun? One which raises money for a good cause.
Pinjarra Bakery and Patisserie is donating $1 from every six-pack of hot cross buns sold to Foodbank WA.
The money raised will help the non-profit purchase more food to meet the soaring demand for hunger relief throughout the state.

“We are so pleased to be working with Foodbank WA by giving our community the opportunity to contribute to this fantastic cause,” Pinjarra Bakery’s Jodie Pantaleo said.
“We hope to sell a record amount of hot cross buns this year.”
Foodbank WA is the largest hunger relief charity in the state providing more than 5.7 million meals a year to people in need.
They also run WA’s largest school breakfast program, providing a nutritious breakfast to more than 18,000 students every week.
Pinjarra Primary School is one of 440 schools registered for the program which runs two days a week, feeding up to 50 students each day.
“This is a fantastic local initiative with every dollar donated helping provide two meals for West Aussies who are struggling to make ends meet,” Foodbank WA chief Greg Hebble said.
“While most of us enjoy a treat or two at Easter time, sadly there are thousands of families who will go without food to afford to keep a roof over their head and pay this bill.”
