An event promoting the health and well-being benefits of gardening to all ages has been bolstered, thanks to the Shire of Murray and Aloca of Australia’s Community Assistance Partnership Fund.
At their February meeting, Shire of Murray councillors voted to allocate $2000 from the fund to Friends of the Edenvale, to host the 2018 Pinjarra Garden Day.
The event will be held on October 21 to capitalise on the Spring weather.

The group intend to host a specialist garden personality, stalls, hands on activities, entertainment, fun competitions, food, and a high tea on the day.
Friends of the Edenvale have aimed to use the event to raise awareness of the Edenvale Homestead Complex and its user groups.
They also intend to build the day into an iconic event on the town’s calendar in the future.
