The Pinjarra Cricket Club have claimed the title of 2017/18 Peel Premier League T20 kings after they took down the Singleton Irwinians in a grand final clash at Pinjarra Turf on Saturday evening.
Singleton won their way through to the grand final with a victory over Baldivis earlier in the day, but were no match for the Tigers who ran rampant with a blistering batting display followed by some superb bowling.
The Irwinians found themselves chasing more than 200 to win after Pinjarra’s top order put on a masterclass, and they could only muster 129 with the home side’s bowling attack in fine form.
Pinjarra was also strong in the field, with some classy run-outs highlighting the day.
The Peel Cricket Association will now turn its gaze to the final round of its regular 50-over season, which will be played next weekend.
