Hundreds of swimmers and spectators flocked to the pools at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre for the first day of Swimming WA’s 2018 Country Pennants meet on Saturday.
The two-day long event is one of the largest on the Swimming WA calendar, and pits up and coming swimmers from country regions around the state against each other in hundreds of heats and finals.
Both the Mandurah Swimming Club and Peel Aquatic Club have teamed up to host the event, with volunteers from each of the local swim clubs on deck to at the pool.
