With Australia Day almost upon us residents and visitors in the Peel region are gearing up to celebrate in toasty summer conditions.
While some locals will flock to the canals in classic Mandurah tradition, there will be plenty of family friendly activities on-land for revellers.
As Australia Day approaches, here’s a guide to what will be going on around the Peel region on Friday to get into the Aussie spirit.
Eastern Foreshore, Mandurah
The Mandurah Foreshore will be a hive of activity on Australia Day with stalls and entertainment throughout the morning.
Head to the foreshore between 7am - 9am to enjoy a $6 cooked Aussie breakfast thanks to the Lions Club of Mandurah and live music thanks to the Mandurah Concert Band.
The Great Aussie Breakfast will be sponsored by Woolworths Stores Mandurah.
The official ceremony will be opened at 8.30am by Mandurah MP David Templeman, followed by a Welcome to Country ceremony.
At 8.40am, Mandurah Concert Band will then preform the National Anthem and First Mandurah Scout Group will undertake a flag raising ceremony.
Australia Day ambassador Dr Ann O’Neil will address the crowd at 8.50am.

At 9.05am, the crowd will be drawn into the official proceedings when the annual cake cutting event takes place, with the oldest and youngest members of audience.
The winners for the Community Citizen of the Year Awards will be announced by Mandurah's mayor Rhys Williams at 9.10am.
The City of Mandurah will also host their largest annual citizenship ceremony during the proceedings.
More than 100 new citizens will take their oath and be welcomed on the Eastern Foreshore at 9.40am.
At 10.45am, the Mandurah Concert Band will once again perform the National Anthem.
The event finishes with a flotilla of boats on the estuary, organised by Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club.
The vessels will be competing for the best dressed title, awarded by Mr Williams about 11am.
Edenvale Homestead, Pinjarra
Pinjarra’s Edenvale will come to life on Australia Day.
Hundreds of Murray locals are expected to converge on Edenvale homestead this Friday to enjoy a traditional Aussie breakfast by the Pinjarra Lions Club and welcome the region’s new citizens.
The Lions Club of Pinjarra and the Shire of Murray will work in conjunction to feed the masses at the highly anticipated Australia Day Breakfast.
Official proceeding at the the Homestead will commence at 7am. A full breakfast at a cost of $5, and revellers will have the chance of winning a Willie Creek Pearl valued at over $400.
There will also be live music provided by Lionel Morris.
