Detectives and police forensic investigators are at a house in the Mandurah suburb of Greenfields after a body was found on Wednesday.
The property on Murdoch Drive has been cordoned off and uniformed officers are standing guard.
The death was reported just before 10am.
It is understood investigators are determining whether the death is suspicious.
