Traffic was brought to a standstill after a demountable house fell off a truck on Roe Highway on Wednesday afternoon.
It is understood the house came off the back of the truck just after 1.30pm, and blocked southbound traffic near the Great Eastern Highway bypass.
Main Roads WA was been forced to close Roe Highway southbound, and a spokesman told motorists to avoid the area.
"Traffic is slow... so it's probably best to avoid that area all together," he said.
Traffic officers have attended the scene in order to help right the truck.
