CHRISTMAS is about to come early for Star Wars fan and bachelor Joel South.
The 28-year-old will attend Warrnambool’s first screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
He had high hopes for the latest instalment.
“If these films are mirroring the original three, The Force Awakens mirrored a new hope, so I'm hoping The Last Jedi will mirror The Empire Strikes Back, as that's my all-time favourite film,” Mr South said.
Mr South was first introduced to Stars Wars at the tender age of eight.
“I think what I love most about Star Wars is the whole universe its built, it's not just the movies, there's such an incredible expanded universe, so many other stories and characters.
“There’s enough to keep me very happy,” he said.
Fans across the world have been eagerly awaiting the film’s release.
The Last Jedi is the final Star Wars film for Carrie Fisher, who died in December 2016 after shooting her scenes as General Leia Organa.
