A Perth mother and daughter will be on a much-needed Paris holiday thanks to a bit of luck and Murray-Wellington MP Robyn Clarke.
Ms Clarke represented the Premier at the Global Illumination 2017 Touch Of Pink Breakfast event on October 31 at Crown Perth where Fiona Hancock was a speaker at the event, discussing her experiences in dealing with a breast cancer diagnoses.
She entered a raffle at the event and won a week long trip for two to Paris.
Ms Clarke was so moved by Fiona’s story that she decided to give the tickets to Fiona, so she can have much-needed holiday with her husband and 10 year-old daughter Erica.
“I was very happy to give the tickets to Fiona. She’s been through so much and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of a trip to Paris with their family,” Ms Clarke said.
“I was obviously excited to hear my name called out at the raffle, but I thought about it for a few days, and it didn’t sit well with me.
“After hearing her story at the event, it was actually an it was an easy decision to give the tickets to Fiona.
“She’s an incredible person and I just admire the way she’s been so strong in dealing with her Breast Cancer diagnoses. I hope they have a great trip.”
