An arrest warrant has been issued in the Mandurah Magistrates Court for a Pinjarra man who allegedly stole from a war veteran.
Jamie David Brown, 21, didn’t appear in the courthouse to face his one charge of stealing on Tuesday.
Police will allege Mr Brown knocked on 94-year-old Ernie Haynes’ door in Pinjarra and asked for a glass of milk about 11:20am on October 3.
While the generous New Guinea war veteran fixed Mr Brown a beverage, he allegedly swooped in and took Mr Haynes’ wallet, which contained $1500 cash from a recent trip to the bank.
