Murray community members wishing to brush-up on their knowledge of feral animal control techniques, are invited to attend December’s Feral Rabbit Control Workshop.
The workshop will be held at 9am on December 7 at George Brook Reserve.
Presented by the Shire of Murray, Peel-Harvey Biosecurity Group and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, the workshop will offer attendees insight into the district’s wild rabbit dilemma and population control options.

According to Shire president David Bolt, effective feral rabbit control is achieved by using a combination of control methods.
“Rabbits are known for their destructive behaviours toward agricultural and environmental assets,” Mr Bolt said.
“Knowledge of control options will assist residents in determining a best fit management practice.”
