Visit Waroona during November, December and January as it comes alive with colour and fun during ‘Yarn Bomb Waroona’.
Crazy crochet, natty knits and other woolly crafts will be on show on the verandah and gardens surrounding Waroona Visitor Centre, and all through the trees in the adjacent picnic area.
Keep your eyes peeled as you look for mice, snakes, Aussie animals, flowers, birds, butterflies and spiders and remember to look up for a few surprises.
The Visitor Centre’s resident mascot, Mooriel (#WaroonaCow) is also covered in pom poms and gorgeous mandalas as she pays tribute to The Heartfelt Project of 2016.
It was just after the fires when Waroona Visitor Centre staff and volunteers coordinated a project to inject colour into the fire ravaged Shires of Waroona and Harvey by adorning trees with bright crocheted and knitted mandalas.

This year is also the tenth anniversary of the Visitor Centre’s Sea to ART exhibition which is showcasing more than 110 artworks from 30 talented local artists throughout November.
A selection of mini works in red, black and white has also been created to raise funds for St John Ambulance so come down, vote for your favourites in the People’s Choice Award, and snap up an original piece.
The excitement doesn’t stop there as during December and January Waroona will rock!
