The Mandurah man charged with murder in relation to the death of another man in Halls Head earlier this year made a brief appearance in court this week.
Damian Eric Maxfield, 39, was also charged with attempted murder following the January 14 incident at Blue Bay Apartments.
Mr Maxfield is accused of killing a man, and attempting to kill the victim’s partner – a woman who sustained injuries on the night in question.

He has pleaded not guilty to these offences and is expected to face the Supreme Court on December 18.
On Tuesday Mr Maxfield appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court via video link from Casuarina Prison, where he is on remand.
In charges relating to the same incident in Halls Head, Mr Maxfield is accused of being armed with a knife in a way that may cause fear, common assault, criminal damage, and threaten to kill.
He sought a remand to seek legal advice and will next face the Mandurah court on December 12 via video.
