Home security footage has captured the moment two thieves assaulted a woman as they made off with a safe in South Bunbury on Saturday night.
A police spokesman said the incident occurred when two men entered a house on Prentice Street around 11.30pm.
"The occupants of the house told the men to leave but they pushed past, taking a black safe from one of the bedrooms," he said.
"A female occupant of the house received bruising to her face during a struggle with the men."
Video shows one of the men slamming a security screen door shut on the woman as she attempted to stop the pair.
She is then shoved back into the house.
Police are searching for two men, described as being aged 25 to 30, fair skinned and wearing white clothing.
