Mandurah, welcome your mayor Rhys Williams.
After a busy election campaign, Mr Williams has won Mandurah’s top job with more than 10,916 votes out of the 21,779 votes scrutinised.
Former Mandurah mayor Marina Vergone came second with 7,414 votes followed by Peter Jackson with 2402.
Candidate Mark Brzezinski came fourth with 1047 votes.

Mayoral candidates Rhys Williams and Marina Vergone faced off each other in a nail-biting finale in 2013, with Ms Vergone winning Mandurah’s mayoral seat by just two votes.
In an interview with the Mail in May this year, Mr Williams said he would like to bring the confidence back to Mandurah to assist the city in reaching its full potential as mayor.
“Mandurah, with all of its potential and all of its opportunity, is stuck,” he said in May.
“We need to build a sense of community pride.
“This is the crux of it.”
Having hardly been idle over the past four years, the 29-year-old set up Make Place – a hub for young entrepreneurs and leaders to collaborate, following the defeat in the 2013 election.
Since, he has been the master mind behind the Smart Street parties and the local WA Day activities. He has also set up several leadership programs through Make Place.
Vote counting will continue to find out which candidates will be elected to represent the city as councillors
