Two Mandurah builders have taken out prestigious accolades at the 2017 HIA Perth Housing Awards at Crown Perth on Saturday night.
Mandurah Homes won the Custom Built Homes category for builds between $2.6 million and $4 million for its home on Karinga Road, Madora Bay.
The home was also a finalist for the John Pietersen Award for Perth Custom Built Home of the Year.
Cachet Homes won the Custom Built Homes category for builds between $475,001 and $625,000 for the home it built in Abrolhos Quays, Wannanup.
A spokesman from Cachet Homes congratulated all the 2017 entrants.
“We are truly grateful that you opened your homes and allowed us to enter them in these awards,” he said.
“Toneal and Adam Butler, the big one went to you guys.”
Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Basil Zempilas, announcing 70 award categories during the ceremony.
HIA chief judge Max Pirone said: “This year’s judging process really did reinforce just how innovative and talented the Perth building and construction industry is”.
“We are really seeing value for money in homes, ingenious uses of materials and outstanding collaboration between architects, designers and builders, which have resulted in truly outstanding projects.”
HIA executive director John Gelavis said, “The HIA Perth Housing Awards has seen a record number of entries in 2017”.
“The awards ceremony truly embodies the level of quality, prestige and passion our members have for the housing industry," he said.
“The presentation evening provides the residential building industry the opportunity to be recognised by their peers, whilst highlighting their level of innovation, creativity and workmanship.
“Congratulations to all finalists and winners.”
Tony Tomizzi Builders took out Perth Custom Built Home of the Year.
