Book lovers will be able to discuss bestselling author Judy Nunn’s new novel Sanctuary on October 28 at the Mandurah Library.
The Perth author and star of stage and screen, will stop by to talk about her writing and illustrious career at 11.30am.
After 26 years of writing Ms Nunn has sold more than one million books worldwide and wrote fourteen novels in total.
Ms Nunn said the book was inspired by a Western Australian writers’ festival, where she had the opportunity to visit the Houtman Abrolhos, a chain of islands off the coast of Geraldton.
She said the desolation of the islands was the perfect inspiration for Sanctuary.
Ms Nunn struck fame through her role on The Box, where she was half of the first lesbian kiss to air on Australian television, and Home and Away where she married her real-life husband, fellow actor and author Bruce Venables.
In 2015 was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her ‘significant service to the performing arts as a scriptwriter and actor of stage and screen, and to literature as an author’.
Every release of Ms Nunn’s books has been accompanied by an extensive tour around Australia, visiting regional and metropolitan areas to talk to fans about her books.
This year she will be embarking on a five state including: Western Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
