A sell-out crowd is expected to pack into the MCG to watch the Richmond Tigers take on the Adelaide Crows in the AFL grand final this Saturday.
But where can you catch the game in Mandurah?
Several of our local pubs and clubs will have it up on their big screens, with plenty also running competitions for footy fans to get involved with on the day.
We’ve compiled a short list of places you can watch the game in Mandurah, which kicks off at 12.30pm.
Murphy’s Irish Pub
Murphy’s will be airing the game on their two mega and six plasma screens. Chefs will be cooking all day with the full menu available from 11.30am to 3pm, and then again from 5pm to 9pm. The pub is offering a “beer of the moment” $7 pint special for the day, and is running a competition to give away footballs. An after party with live music will be on following the game. Brighton Hotel
The Brighton is getting fully decked out for the post-game celebrations with their Footy Dads and Soccer Mums after party. The best dressed will get their “Norm Smith Medal” prize, and they are running a $5 basic spirits special. The game will be shown live on their big screens to get it all started.
Peel Alehouse
A half time handball competition highlights the day at the Peel Alehouse, with the winner scoring a $100 Rebel Sports voucher. The Alehouse is also offering a “punters pack” which for $25 secures patrons a beer, burger and bet. Free face-painting is on and the beer special includes $6 Swan and $8 Super Dry pints, along with $20 XXXX Summer buckets.
Oceanic Bar and Grill
The OBG has got the game up on the screens both in their sports bar and throughout the venue. They’ll also be running food specials on the day.
The Cut Golf Course
The Cut will be showing the big game live in the clubhouse, opening its doors at the usual Saturday time of 8.30am. Lunch and dinner food will be available from their a la carte menu.
Boathouse Tavern
The Boathouse will have the game live on their big screens, with a skimpy serving drinks. Kitchen food and drinks as usual.
Halls Head Bowling and Recreation Club
The local bowls club is showing the game live with their day kicking off around 11.30am. Stubbies are on offer for $5 along with $4.50 wines.
