Mandurah has been lashed by wind and rain overnight and this morning, with winds gusting to 72 kilometres an hour and more than 10 millimetres of rain falling since 5am.
At 8.30am the temperature had dropped to 13.0 degrees with the cold front.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a chance of thunderstorms this morning and afternoon and the possibility of damaging winds.
Winds northwesterly 35 to 45 km/h tending westerly 40 to 50 km/h in the morning then tending southwesterly 30 to 35 km/h in the late afternoon.
Mandurah and the Peel region are still on a severe weather warning, with the bureau warning of damaging winds gusting up to 100km/h.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, conditions will begin to ease from the west from during Friday afternoon and ease throughout by Friday evening.
