Winners were grinners at the Mandurah Forum this weekend, with more than 100 customers going home with a prize as part of the centre’s Heart of the South competition.
The competition was part of the centre’s first major retail stage, which opened in July, and put more than $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
Local customer Barry Newton drew the top prize in the competition, walking away with a $2,000 voucher to spend at the centre.
“I’ve never won a thing,” Mr Newton said.
“I had a dream the other night that I used my left and selected a heart in the middle, so that’s exactly what I did.”
Forum manager Jacqueline Jacqueline McKenzie said the competition gave customers the opportunity to experience some of the centre’s new and returning retailers.
“This competition and our eye-catching in-centre display showed our customers that Mandurah Forum is the new Heart of the South,” Ms McKenzie said.
“Our range of prizes, from centre vouchers to a Samsung Galaxy tablet from Telstra Shop, give shoppers the chance to experience some of our new and returning retailers that now call Mandurah Forum home.
The $350 million transformation of Mandurah Forum will be completed in early 2018 when the centre welcomes the new David Jones store, a new fashion mall, casual dining precinct designed around a water oasis and a contemporary food court with an indoor-outdoor play area.
