Fresh from a national tour and a finalist at the Ultimate Elvis Festival Tribute Artist competition, Mark Anthony, Australia’s favourite Elvis tribute artist, is back in Australia to bring back the King’s triumphant return to the concert stage in Elvis – One Night In Vegas.
The year was 1969. After nine years in Hollywood, Elvis returned to his real passion – live performance. His fans were waiting and over the next two years Elvis ascended the throne as the King of Las Vegas.
Mark Anthony, one of the most dynamic Elvis tribute artists in the world today, brings this unique period to life – the songs, the costumes, the emotion, the energy, the raw power – all brought together in a two hour concert spectacular. His show will transport audiences to a time when Elvis Presley ruled the world and dominated the record charts in the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s with his unique raw energy, dynamic voice and sensational stage presence.
Widely regarded as one of the very best Elvis Presley tribute artist in the World, Mark is one of a rare few who has been personally endorsed by the Elvis Presley estate. In August 2017 and as part of the 40th Anniversary events to mark Elvis’s passing, Mark Anthony took part in National Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis and placed 2nd place.
Elvis Presley is considered one of the greatest music acts the world will ever see. His record sales exceed 600 million record sales worldwide and he won three Grammy Awards. He was and will always be known as “The King Of Rock n Roll”. Elvis was also one of Hollywood’s most desired leading men and made a number of films in his lifetime.
Elvis died in August 1977 but his music career has lived on as sales of his music still strong in this digital age. 2017 marks 40 years since Elvis died prematurely at the age of 42.
