Hundreds of keen BMX riders from across the state flocked to the Mandurah BMX Club for the racing of their 2017 Super Series on Sunday.
Competitors aged from five-and-under through to seniors hit the track, with a number of Mandurah riders achieving high results.
Some of local club’s top performers included under 10 boys expert Eli Pantalone and 11 boys novice Chayce Purser.
The pair raced exceptionally, clean-sweeping their divisions with wins across all heats and finals.
Michelle Newport was also a shining light for the Mandurah club, racing in her first competition since undergoing ankle surgery in May and finishing third in every one of her races in the Over 17s women.
In the over 30 men’s competition Mandurah’s Greg Robinson put in a stellar performance to finish second overall.
Other podium finishes from the hosts included Ella Purser (third in under 9 girls), Kara Harrison (third in under 12 girls), Tesanee King (third in under 13 girls) and Tahj Armitage (third in under 14 boys).
