A Perth man has captured the moment he caught brazen thieves attempting to ransack his boat in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Fez Newdfish was asleep inside his Kallaroo home, when his CCTV alarm went off at around 2am.
He woke up to check the camera, and saw two people climbing into the boat parked in the driveway of his home.
"The alarm goes off on the camera when someone walks within its zone - I have the alarm right by my bed, so I quickly looked and saw two people in my boat," he said.
Footage captured the two teens lurking near the boat, and the female can be seen clambering over the guard rail in order to board the vessel.
She quietly and quickly searches the contents of the vessel, with a torch in hand and her hood pulled over her head.
A man stands next to the trailer and directs her to open a storage cabinet.
However the pair were interrupted as Mr Newdfish came running out of his house.
"They just ran when I got to the gate," he said.
The would-be thieves can be seen attempting to hide their faces from Mr Newdfish, and the woman quickly climbs off the boat and sprints away.
"There was a third guy standing on the road, standing look out," he said.
"It looked like they knew what they were looking for but when I came out, they weren't hanging around at all - they ran up north through the bushland and disappeared," Mr Newdfish said.
Police were called and three patrol vehicles were unable to locate the would-be thieves.
Mr Newdfish said he hoped someone was able to identify the pair in the video.
"You can tell they're just kids - but the sooner these idiots are caught, the sooner they're stopped from doing it to anyone else.
"If anyone else in my area [Kallaroo] experienced anything like this last night or found stuff missing this morning, this might answer it."
