The City of Mandurah is offering a series of free information sessions to help seniors in their daily lives and into the future.
Free information sessions are held each month at the Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre on a variety of topics relevant for active ageing.
Mayor Marina Vergone encouraged local seniors to attend the free seminars to help them make informed decisions about important aspects of their lives.
“It is so important that our seniors are armed with the knowledge that’s needed to help with their daily lives and future needs,” she said.
“The free information sessions cover a range of topics all aimed at helping participants keep informed, gain confidence, and improve their health and wellbeing.”
The upcoming sessions include:
- Don’t Get Ripped Off – Tuesday, September 12 at 1pm
- Scams are a growing concern, participants can learn tips to keep safe online.
- Staying Safe in your Home – Tuesday, October 10 at 1pm
- Learn tips to secure your home. Receive practical advice and tips residents can do straight away to keep safe.
- Wills, Estate Planning and Legal Advice – Monday, November 27 at 1pm
- Learn about wills, estate planning and legal advice from a trusted source.
The sessions are part of the year-round activities and programs on offer at the Mandurah
Seniors and Community Centre.
The City has a long history of offering a number of vital services, facilities, programs and activities to help keep seniors connected, aligned with the City’s Active Ageing Plan 2013-2017.
