With more and more fantastic events on the horizon, Mandurah’s resident space activation experts Shape Mandurah are on the lookout for volunteers willing to get involved in some decidedly out-there ventures.
With Winter Wonderland hitting Mandurah on August 4, there’s plenty of opportunities available to help out, with more on the way.
“Shape Mandurah’s really looking to grow, and to create more events in the future,” Shape Mandurah organiser David Snyder said.
“It’s really important for us, being a non-profit organisation, than we really get a strong contingent of volunteers who really want to be a part of these community events.”
Shape Mandurah has been responsible for a huge range of events over its relatively short life, from business workshops to music shows.
This range and variety of these events is a big plus in getting involved.
“With the Winter Wonderland, we’re really looking for people to just help out in general. Put skates on the kids, help them around, that kind of thing,” Mr Snyder said.
“There’s also the Food Truck Festival, where people can just be involved in the general running of the thing.
“Basically we just want anyone who wants to get more involved in the community, because that’s really at the core of everything we do.”
