Mandurah Forum’s newly refurbished Coles supermarket is gearing up to open its doors on Friday next week with a team almost entirely made up of Mandurah and Peel region residents.
The new market-style supermarket will feature an extensive fresh produce section, open-style butchery and an in-store bakery selling a range of artisan breads, cakes and pastries.
It will also have a continental delicatessen section selling both local and international cheeses and a scoop and weight cabinet filled with nuts and dried fruit mixes.
“We’re very excited to launch our new market-style store to the local community. We think our customers will love the new fresh produce, bakery and deli sections,” store manager John Graham said.
“Ninety per cent of the team lives in the Mandurah and Peel area, so we’re collectively committed to serving local customers and by being involved in number of community activities.
"I look forward to welcoming our customers to the new store and thank them for their support throughout the redevelopment.”
To celebrate the completion of the refurbishment works, Coles will host a series of Family Fun Days every Saturday for four weeks with entertainment, facepainting and live music for the whole family.
The first family-friendly event will be held from 11am to 4pm on July 29.
Fore those who wish to unleash their inner foodie, WA’s popular cooking due Anna and Jordan Bruno will be demonstrating some of their favourite recipes from the Coles magazine at the centre.
The team also visited Coles Halls Head last year to share some of their favourite recipes with local residents.
