Hot Shore Shuffle continues to bring talented musicians delviering unique sounds from around the world, this time bringing the fantastic De Cuba Son to Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on July 30.
Lead by Arvis Mena, a Cuban native with a velvety voice, De Cuba Son brings traditional Cuban rhythm like rumba, son, salsa and much more to any stage they touch.
Born in Havana, Mena grew up listening to the sounds of many iconic bands such as Irakere and Buena Vista Social Club, plus all the Rumba played around his Neighbourhood in Havana City.
Since relocating to Western Australia, he has formed a wonderful band with some of the best Latin players in town – talented local musicians who are helping him shape the unique rhythmic sound of De Cuba Son.
There will be a dance workshop mid-performance to get the audience involved in Rhythmic Latin movements and Oxfam will have a craft stall setup too.
The event starts at 1pm, free entry.
