Mandurah detectives have charged a man and a woman with several theft and drug offences following investigations into a Sutton Street robbery in June.
Local resident Ben Verelst was playing computer games in his Sutton Street home on June 25, when three armed people dressed in black hoodies barged into his home and threatened to kill him.
After ransacking the house, they drove off in Mr Verelst’s Holden commodore.
“I thought they were going to kill me,” Mandurah resident Ben Verelst said about the incident.
“I felt completely trapped and vulnerable.”
A 24-year-old man from Willagee has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and possessing meth, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
He will appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on September 12.
A 28-year-old woman from Yokine has also been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on July 12.
Mr Verelst’s car was recovered in Balga on June 28.
