A man faces a string of charges after a set of gates were rammed at Mandurah Police Station early Thursday morning.
A police spokesperson confirmed the 40-year-old man had been charged with trespassing, criminal damage and reckless driving.
He was due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on June 29.
Police will allege at 5.30am a Ford sedan tore into the compound of the station on Pinjarra Road.
When police officers saw the car driving in the compound the vehicle tried to exit and has crashed through the security gate as it closed.
The gate was damaged in the incident.
The vehicle then drove on the front lawn area before driving down the foot path and left the area.
A short time later the vehicle was found by police.
