Chamber to future proof Peel business with massive conference

The Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has committed to a full day business conference to provide affordable training and essential information to the local business community.

PCCI president Donna Cocking said the conference promised an expert speaker line-up and workshops tailored to improving business practices and exploring “new ways of thinking and doing”.

“The Future Proof Business Conference is a great opportunity for local businesses to work on their business rather than in their business,” she said.

Ms Cocking said the conference would be the first of its kind to be held in the Peel region and she hoped it would attract more than 200 business owners to Mandurah.

Business owners will hear from speakers covering topics such as innovation, design thinking, diversity and business health.

Workshops later in the day would be on human resources, marketing and business fundamentals.

“Our members consistently tell us that they want affordable training, so we have come up with the Future Proof Business Conference in response to this request,” acting PCCI manager Andrew McKerrell said.

“The speaker line-up and workshops are going to be providing the conference attendees with some great take-aways that they can put into practice in their own business.

“The current business climate in the Peel Region is tough and business owners tell us they are eager to learn new ways to how improve, streamline and increase profitability but they don’t have the resources to attend multiple training courses throughout the year.”

The Future Proof Business Conference is open to anyone in business and is scheduled for Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 8am-5pm.

The conference will be held at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, located at the Mandurah Boardwalk.

Early Bird Tickets will be on sale from August 2, 2017.
