A tattoo artist who worked at the now defunct Cravin’ Ink Tattoo Studio is offering to honour deposits from clients who had booked tattoos with him as he ventures out with his own studio.
Mark Edwards said he was disappointed the studio closed after six years, but would not give up on his dream of tattooing.
In a Facebook post he wrote that even though he was not responsible for money that may have been lost by clients he would complete unfinished tattoos at a reduced rate and deduct deposits already paid.
“I am as upset as anyone if not more,” Mr Edwards wrote.
“I know people have lost money but I lost my livelihood, I loved working in the shop alongside some fantastic artists and people, and have continued to be inspired by different perspectives of their art.”
The news was welcomed by Facebook users.
“Not a customer either, but what you’re offering is awesome,” wrote one.
“I hope you get some good karma.”
