South Mandurah Football Club spearhead Brad Holmes has taken out the WA Country Football League’s West Coast Poly player of the week award after a monster 10-goal haul against Centrals on Sunday.
Holmes was destructive in his side’s clash against their top-of-the-ladder opposition, marking any footy that was sent his way as he tallied a double-figure bag to lead the Falcons to a 76-point win.
The award, which instantly nominates Holmes for the West Coast Poly player of the year, comes on the back of some stirring form throughout season 2017.
The former Peel Thunder sharpshooter leads the league in total goals this season with 44 through the first nine games.
That has him going at a stunning clip of just under five goals per game.
The Falcons co-captain has also been a huge part in helping the side to seven straight wins after a pair of losses opened their season.
Holmes led Peel Thunder’s goal kicking for three straight seasons spanning from 2011 to 2013.
The winner of the West Coast Poly player of the year will receive a trip for two to this year’s AFL grand final.
