Halls Head Primary School students are spreading the joy of theatre in their local community, with their upcoming production of The Jungle Book set to rock you in its re-imagining.
The after school drama club “SCRIPTED Drama” features 44 children from all year levels, who have all been rehearsing after school for four months to bring this much-loved story to the stage.
“It’s definitely been the most wonderfully challenging show we’ve ever produced,” SCRIPTED Drama’s founder and director Sian Dhu said.
“Portraying animals demands a whole new level of performance.
“Luckily our cast members are extremely hard working and were so ready for the challenge.”
The after school drama program has been operating at Halls Head Primary for four years and has been an immense success.
“As well as developing talent and confidence, the program has created so many new friendships among students who may not usually interact at school” Ms Dhu said.
To give all members of the community a chance to enjoy theatre, entry to watch The Jungle Book is only a $2 donation at the door.
The show will be held at Pinjarra Civic Centre at 7:15pm on Sunday June 11.
